This easy-to-read document addresses the major legal issues that need to be accounted for when starting or implementing a Released Time education program. Carefully documented, it provides the historical and legal background of Released Time programs. Released Time Bible Education: A program that improves academic performance in public schools and builds a foundation for positive character development.
The report evaluated the Oakland California Released Time Bible Education Program. It finds that enrolled students perform better in almost every academic category than non-enrolled students and show significant increase in three major literacy skills. Students also receive positive moral and character development and the program provides positive interaction with at-risk youth that historically have contributed to delinquency.
The report is filled with graphs and charts that visually and mathematically evaluate the findings. Paul Harvey, famous journalist and radio broadcaster, marveled at the benefits of the Oakland Released Time program when he found out about the report. He later featured the results of the report on his daily News and Comment radio broadcast. The results of this study are undeniable.
This report is a perfect tool to present the need for more successful academic programs to school officials. The report highlights the academic benefits of Released Time in a manner that school officials can relate to. These benefits make a compelling case for any school board or principal to start Released Time in their school.

Hardwired to Connect: Commission on Children at Risk
Hardwired to Connect reports the psychological and physiological benefits of Religious Education. This report was done by experts from YMCA of the USA, Dartmouth Medical School, and the Institute for American Values.
The 83-page report done by a 33-member panel comprised of children's doctors, research scientists, mental health professionals, and youth service professionals found that children's brains are hardwired for a certain level of social and spiritual connectedness.
The panel also identifies that today's society is lacking in fostering for this connectedness, and therefore today's children are suffering. This suffering is linked to an increase in rates of depression, anxiety, attention deficit, conduct disorders, suicidal thoughts, and other serious mental, emotional, and behavioral problems.
Imagine telling principals that by allowing Released Time in their schools, they are giving their students a life that can be free of the dreadful problems listed. When you are presenting the need for Released Time Bible Education to school officials, the findings of this report are crucial in proving need for more moral and spiritual development in a child's education.
