SMIBoard2017 0004 MiltUeckerDr. Milt Uecker currently serves as the director of the Lowrie Center for Christian School Education at Columbia International University. He has worked within elementary schools and teacher education for over forty years. Prior to joining the faculty of CIU in 1995, Dr. Uecker served for four years as an associate professor at Regent University in Virginia Beach where he directed the early childhood program. His professional experience includes teaching within an International School in Seoul, Korea and administrating early childhood programs in both Texas and Virginia. He received a Bachelor of Science in elementary education (1969) from Concordia University, Chicago, a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas (1975) and a Doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in early childhood from the University of Virginia (1989). His minor areas at the University of Virginia included Social Foundations of Education and Evaluation. Dr. Uecker and his wife Linda live in Fort Mill, SC and have three adult sons and eight grandchildren.
